Julie Ellen "Tawny" Kitaen (August 5 1961 - May 7 2021) was an American model, actress and media persona. She started her career as a model and actress on television, appearing in the television films Malibu (1983) as well as California Girls (1985). She also appeared in the comedies The Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik-Yak and Bachelor Party (both 1984) as well as the horror film Witchboard (1986). Kitaen was well-known for her performance in heavy metal music videos like Ratt's "Back for More", Whitesnake "Still of the Night" as well as "Is This love" (all 1987). Kitaen also appeared on reality television shows, like Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) and The Surreal Life (2006) which explored Kitaen's issues with addiction to drugs. Julie Kitaen was born in San Diego, California, in 1961. Kitaen is the eldest of three children to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) who was a domestic worker as well as a contestant in a beauty contest once, and Terry Kitaen. Kitaen works for a neon sign company. Kitaen's mom, who was from Irish as well as Scottish descent, was married to Terry Kitaen (an employee of a neon sign company). Her father was Russian Jewish.
