Anita Sarkeesian (Canadian-American) is a feminist media critic as well as a public speaker, and Canadian. Feminist Frequency is a channel that hosts videos, commentaries and analysis of portrayals in popular cultures. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian and American feminist media critic. She is the founder and director of executive for Feminist Frequency A scholarly, non-profit site that examines the representation of women in popular stories of culture. Aiming to dispel the myths that are associated with women in pop culture, she also works with issues that relate to the harassing women targeted by the media and different classes of individuals online. Sarkeesian holds a York University master's in social theological, philosophical and political thought. In addition to being a well-known public speaker, she's given presentations at TEDxWomen conference and the United Nations Broadband Working Group. Feminist Frequency was founded on the 9th of September 2009 by Sarkeesian. a University student who has been involved in topics related to gender and feminism for quite a long period of. A woman with ambitions to start a web-series examining the gender representation of video games was targeted in the internet campaign. The harassment didn't discourage her. She was only able to strengthen her position in her role as a feminist journalist. Her many notable contributions in the feminist field have been recognized by numerous prizes.
