Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American from Miami Florida. She is half English the other half Spanish. Parents include Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her is Argentine, of Scottish-English descent. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. She was the first born of a household of six children. Four are her siblings from the previous marriage to Taylor's father. The family is originally from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she refused to learn English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was forced to change schools. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school plays. At the age of 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to pursue a full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to become an actor. She was given a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered an opportunity as a model.
